A high standard must be achieved at all times. Liaising with other members of staff is essential in this role to help throughput of work.
Responsibilities :
- Paintwork to damaged vehicles in the workshop for repair
- Use water-based products
- Checking paint colour
- Spray out card for all colours
- Set up oven temperature / time
- Set Air Pressure
- Applying filler / stoppers
- Paint preparation
- Roller / spray priming
- Complete quality check sheet
- Paintwork as per job card
- Paint mixing
- Paint mixing rooms cleaning
- Use extraction at all times
- Full face air-fed mask and overalls to be worn
- Use correct fillers for repair
- Plastic repairs
- Ordering paint when needed for repair
- Check operations manual for repair systems / filler application
- Cleaning up the work area and making sure that plant and equipment is working correctly, any faults found, immediately inform management of findings
- Liaising with other departments
- Report any problems to Workshop Controller
