As an SEO Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our sales and client services team. You will be part of a team consisting of a sales consultant and a project manager, providing both technical expertise and assisting in client interactions. Your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, interfacing with the production team, developing strategy during the sales process, analyzing keyword and content opportunities, assisting with lead follow-up, and ensuring successful execution of our clients’ SEO campaigns. This position provides a direct pathway to develop your skill set and grow into a project manager or sales consultant role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Project Manager Support:
- Work closely with the project manager to facilitate communication between the production team and project manager.
- Assign tasks to the production team based on project requirements and client expectations.
- Prepare and update client reports, ensuring that they are accurate and provide valuable insights.
- Discover value-add opportunities to help the project manager upsell clients.
- Sales Consultant Support:
- Assist the sales consultant in developing SEO strategies tailored to client needs.
- Conduct opportunity analysis and competitor research to identify areas for growth and improvement.
- Support the sales consultant with discovery calls and production feedback.
- Assist with lead follow-up and prospecting.
- Client Interaction:
- Participate in sales calls and client meetings as needed to support the sales consultant and project manager.
- Collaborate with the team from the initial prospect call to regular update calls and contract renewal discussions with existing clients.
- Technical Expertise:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in SEO to ensure our strategies remain effective.
- Facilitate assignments for link tasks, content creation, and SEO audits.
- Suggest SEO best practices with existing clients to improve website rankings, organic traffic, and overall online visibility.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in SEO, with a strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
- Familiarity with SEO tools and analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, ahrefs, SEMrush, or Moz.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in client-facing roles and sales is a plus.
- Proficiency in technical SEO is a bonus.
