Job Title: Cook
Position Scope: As a Cook, you will support the delivery and execution of quality food service to residents and guests.
Reports to: Director of Culinary
FLSA Status: Full-time

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Setting up, cleaning, and organizing workstations.
- Preparing ingredients for the shift; washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.
- Preparing oven, utensils, and grill for shift.
- Taking orders from wait staff or computerized system.
- Cooking order according to food health and safety standards.
- Recommending ideas for specials or seasonal dishes.
- Handling multiple food orders at one time.
- Monitoring multiple food orders as new orders arrive.
- Dressing order for presentation.
- Ensuring each guest order has the correct food and sides
- Delivering food order to wait staff in a timely manner
- Storing all food properly
- Sanitizing and cleaning workstations and utensils
- Reordering stock and food supplies
- Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Physical endurance to stand for an entire shift
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks
- Able to quickly multiple orders
- High school degree or equivalent
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Walk/Stand – must be able to continuously walk and stand.
- Environment Condition – must be able to perform work both inside and outside
- Sit – sit infrequently
- Lift - constantly 0-10 pounds, frequently 11 – 50 pounds
- Carry - constantly 0-10 pounds, frequently 11 – 50 pounds
- Push - constantly 0-10 pounds, frequently 11 – 50 pounds
- Climb – must be able to climb stairs on a frequent basis, with the opportunity to utilize the elevator as an alternate resource if available
- Bend – must be able to bend at the waist, knees, hips and spine on a frequent basis; may require frequently manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more.
- Squat – must be able to squat on a frequent basis to reach below the knee, may require lifting of 50 pounds or less.
- Twist or rotate – must be able to twist or rotate occasionally at the trunk, hips, knees, and neck, manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more.
- Reach– must be able to reach on a frequent basis. May occasionally reach overhead, requiring manipulation of weight of 10 pounds or less, and below waist manipulating weight of 25 pounds or more.
- Sensory Vision – must be able to read clearly with or without corrective lenses
- Hear - Must be able to hear telephone and audible alarms.
- Must be able to taste and smell.
- Speech/Language – must have strong command of English sufficient to read and write and interpret administration information.
