Security Officer, Healthcare
STARTING PAY RATE: $11.00-$22.50 HOURLY

Full Time, Part Time, On call positions available

PalAmerican is currently looking for a Healthcare Security Officer to serve at one of our major healthcare facilities. Our Healthcare Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the hospital community which includes hospital staff, patients and visitors. The Healthcare Security Officer serves as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on hospital property while positively contributing to the overall patient experience by exuding a customer service approach. Our Healthcare Security Officers also provide an empathetic approach to safely managing patient aggression and provide supervision for at-risk patients in the hospital environment.

This job reports to the Site Supervisor.

Required Qualifications of the Security Officer:

Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have High School Diploma or GED
Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check and Drug screen and re-screening as necessary
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs.
Ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing

Desired Qualification of the Security Officer:

Previous work experience with the public in a service setting
