The Role


As a Senior Accounting Analyst at Palantir you’ll work to drive improvements and quality initiatives across our growing Accounting & Finance organization, supporting senior accounting leadership with strategies that prioritize scalability and value creation.


In this role, you’ll create immediate impact, getting deep into cross functional work and identifying areas for improvement. You will be responsible for helping the Corporate Accounting team close the books monthly, as well as building out related internal controls, automation and process enhancements.


You are a problem solver, who's not satisfied with the status quo, and is energized by opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy of existing processes.

Core Responsibilities
  • Be an integral part of corporate accounting team and own various parts of the month-end and quarter-end close workflows.
  • Create supporting schedules for quarterly filings and for ad-hoc requests from business or finance teams
  • Generate monthly reconciliations for critical accounting workflows.
  • Prepare and analyze journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting records to verify accuracy and to determine if there are any discrepancies within the financial data.
  • Provide support to business partners, to internal and external auditors during quarterly and year-end engagements relating to financial statement audits
  • Adhere to key controls as identified through SOX strategy and prepare SOX compliant documentation
  • Participate in internal process improvement initiatives to improve reporting, analytical tools, and technical aspects of accounting procedures and practices.


What We Value
  • A highly analytical and innovative approach to problem solving, with a demonstrated track record of process improvement.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with international functions and teams is a plus.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills; able to maintain accuracy in work products and multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience using NetSuite, Concur, Coupa, Workday, CoStar, Workvia a plus.

  • 4 years accounting or finance experience. Experience at a public company and Big Four a plus.

Salary


The estimated salary range for this position is estimated to be $85,000 - $142,000/year. Total compensation for this position may also include Restricted Stock units, sign-on bonus and other potential future incentives. Further note that total compensation for this position will be determined by each individual’s relevant qualifications, work experience, skills, and other factors. This estimate excludes the value of any potential sign-on bonus; the value of any benefits offered; and the potential future value of any long-term incentives.
