REPORTS TO: Taproom Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
Taproom Bartender & Server is an energetic, customer-focused position that works directly with guests. This position covers a variety of hours and shifts. Success in this position will be founded in personal attention to the customer experience and a passion for craft beer. Guests should be educated on craft beer, nearby amenities to our location, and our brand. Candidate must be a reliable, outgoing, and self-motivated individual who is capable of multi-tasking.
Position will be part-time ($2.25/hour plus tips) with flexible scheduling.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a clean, friendly, and welcoming environment for all guests at all times
- Provide excellent customer service to all guests, with the goal of engaging the guest in conversation, creating regulars, and maximizing the customer experience
- Assist with function set-up and breakdown and other special event needs
- Work well independently and with a team
- Verify customer age and responsibly serve alcoholic beverages
- Operate a POS system, including cash drawer maintenance and shift sales report
- Perform beginning and end of shift duties without direction
- Follow checklists and standard operating procedures
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Knowledge of and interest in the craft beer industry
- Experience operating a POS system
- Friendly, proactive, detail-oriented, and customer-focused personality
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time standing and/or walking
- Excellent personal communication skills
- Follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and move/manipulate 160 pound kegs
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 21
- Experience in the food and beverage industry (mixed beverage experience is a plus)
