Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:
- Provide customers with top quality customer service in a friendly and positive manner.
- Assemble morning reports including operations updates and distribute to all email users; Clear, open, and close ski lifts and trails and update computer systems that report lift status and grooming status throughout the day.
- Monitor all radio channels and handle all operations communications for ski patrol, lift operations and lift maintenance personnel; communicate with Mountain Manager about daily conditions and changes; disseminate information to other departments via email, radio and phone.
- Respond to all radio and phone calls regarding injuries, lift issues and emergencies. Determine the nature and location of the emergency, determine priorities, and dispatch patrol and/or lift maintenance.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and logs of all radio transmissions, telephone calls and other records.
- Assist Dispatch Manager and Mountain Manager and other operations managers with paperwork and company compliance.
- Monitor patrol locations and results during avalanche control. Coordinate all on hill travel and traffic during avalanche control.

- Effective communication skills, oral & written: Able to converse comfortably and clearly with guests and employees and handle all dispatch communications efficiently.
- Strong sense of customer service & safety awareness.
- Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Have a neat & clean appearance in compliance with the company grooming standards.
- Punctual, able to arrive between 5:30 and 7:00 am, regardless of weather or road conditions.
- Work well as part of a team.
- Able to follow all policies and procedures contained in Dispatch Manual.
- Able to quickly respond and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously during peak business hours.
- Able to maintain a calm and controlled demeanor during emergency situations.
- Excellent computer and organizational skills are essential.
- Able to work longer hours and/or additional days if requested.
- Proficient in Microsoft word, outlook, access, excel.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

Experience
Required- Experience in a high volume environment
- One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous radio communications and/or mountain operations experience
Education
Required- High School or better
