Job Description Responsible for the leadership and management operations of the campus Center for Student Accessibility while complying with federal and state laws that provide eligible students with access to college resources. This includes ensuring students with documented disabilities are provided equal access to programs, activities, services and resources. Educates, guides, and collaborates with faculty and staff regarding student disability support related matters. Pay Grade: 60 Base Pay: $50,440.00. Offer amount based on College's Salary Schedule guidelines. Duties and Responsibilities: (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary) Manages a program to counsel students, families, and staff individually and in groups, to assist them in understanding the needs of students with disabilities, social, behavioral and emotional factors that affect educational progress, and vocational adjustment. Includes crisis intervention and specialized counseling programs. Investigates student problems and addresses disciplinary issues with students in the program when necessary. Monitors professional standards of qualifications for services and maintains current program policies and procedures. Evaluates assistive technology platforms. Develops, revises, assesses, evaluates and delivers college-wide training programs, activities, and events to improve awareness, knowledge, and skills regarding accessibility, diversity, and disability inclusion. Develops partnerships within the community to support transition to college, retention and completion. Acts as a College liaison for programs and services with outside agencies or community leaders. Communicates program information internally and externally. Develops short-term and long-range goals, objectives, priorities, and recommendations. Develops policy recommendations for consideration and adoption. Monitors and evaluate the performance of your employees. Develops and trains staff. Performs needs analysis, arranges, coordinates, delivers, evaluates, and monitors staff development. May manage multiple campuses and teams. Monitors standards for the privacy requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and adherence to health information in compliance with featured and State laws and the college’s privacy practices. Full access to protected health information (PHI). Conducts all tasks related to the preparation of the annual and other periodic budgets for a department, campus, or college. Manages a case load of students for academic advising and accommodations to aid in retention and completion. Provides academic advising according to career pathway that meet program and graduation requirements. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
