MA | Clinical Assistant
The PALM Medical Assistant (MA)|Clinical Assistant role is responsible for the overall flow of the practice. The MA|Clinical Assistant will be assigned to the practice as a whole and will work closely with other Clinical Assistant MAs to ensure timely and thorough intake of all PALM medical patients. The MA|Clinical Assistant is responsible for monitoring medical providers schedules, obtaining patient vital signs, recording any medication or supplementation changes, and keeping PALM physicians up to date on reason(s) for patient visit. Additional roles include, but are not limited to, being responsible for administering standard injections (e.g. vaccines and B12), and completing quality control checks for the practice. The MA|Clinical Assistant serves as back up for other medical assistant and administrative roles as needed. Client service, hospitality, and teamwork are at heart of this role.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (required); Associate degree (preferred)
- Completion of coursework in medical terminology and medical records (preferred)
- Associate of Applied Science in Medical Assisting (preferred)
- CPR certification
- 1 year of medical assistant experience (required)
