Role and Responsibilities

• Live the company’s values by displaying our high standard characteristics and behaviors that lead to our collective success as outlined in our Values in Action.
• Receive and put away all products for the Market ensuring all cooler and freezer spaces are organized per Manager’s specifications.
• Utilize proper First In, First Out (FIFO) method rotation practices while organizing products in all areas.
• Ensure product quality of all items received as fresh and communicate any product quality issues to the Manager On Duty and assist in corrective actions as necessary.
• Assist Market Clerical Support in tracking all paperwork associated with incoming products as well as entering and maintaining items in the software systems.
• Communicate with Purchasing and Sales Representatives by phone or email and utilize online ordering system to order products when necessary.
• Manage inventory, par levels, and product orders for frozen seafood department, janitorial supplies, and packaging supplies.
• Presents a professional image to internal/external customers and vendors with appropriate dress according to the work situation while maintaining good grooming and hygiene.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Manager On Duty.
• Loading and Unloading Trucks

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver license and clean driving record to be able to make short driving trips as needed
• Computer skills sufficient to proficiently use the online ordering and warehouse software program
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds 
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient with machinery and equipment
• Experience with pallet jack and warehouse experience is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with vendors, customers and co-workers
• Ability to perform duties in a freezer and coolers
• Ability to manage multiple goals and tasks in a timely, efficient manner
