Palmer Healthcare Center, located in Palmer, MA is seeking a dynamic Director of Nursing Services who can manage a 61-bed skilled nursing facility that specializes in Alzheimer and Geri-Psych residents. This person will be responsible for the leadership, organization, and development of nursing staff in the care of residents/patients entrusted to our care, using recognized standards of practice and a person-centered approach.
Responsibilities include:
· The coordination of resident care with a “hands on” management style.
· Develops, reviews, and updates nursing policies.
· Conduct employee performance evaluations and disciplinary situations to ensure quality care of residents.
· Ability to lead in the recruitment of qualified staff by conducting interviews.
· Responsible for cost controls by monitoring the use of supplies and equipment.
· Runs various committees including QA, Risk, Medicare, etc.
The successful candidate will have:
· Massachusetts R.N. licensure.
· Knowledge of Long-Term Care regulations.
· Minimum of 2 years long term care experience, with some experience in a small facility desired.
· Must have demonstrated a mastery of good clinical nursing skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
