We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary with at least 5 years of experience. We desire an individual with legal experience in Labor and Employment Law who thrives in a fast-paced environment is a self-starter and is extremely organized.
Job Details:
Job Location: 2777 Fair Oaks Blvd., Suite 455, Sacramento, CA 95825
Classification: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00-5:00 p.m.
Compensation: $30.00- $36.00 Per hour depending on experience a with discretionary bonus

Responsibilities and Duties
- Calendaring case deadlines including but not limited to discovery deadlines, court hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings.
- Open new files, run conflicts checks, and maintain all client and general files electronically via ProLaw
- Work well under pressure, keep a calm and professional demeanor at all times
- Schedule hearings with opposing counsel and court staff
- File all motions and pleadings
- Make appointments and travel arrangements; maintain calendar and deadline reminder system
- Draft correspondence
- Interact with clients, visitors and attorneys/staff via phone, email and in-person
Desired Qualifications & Skills
The ideal candidate must have excellent organizational and communication skills, interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with management, staff and external entities including clients of the firm.
Candidates must be detail-oriented, and able to prioritize their workload. The successful candidate must be dependable, a self-starter, with a “can do” attitude. They must be able to work independently and have working knowledge and experience in e-filing. They must be proficient in running conflicts, file opening and closing.
Candidates must possess and have knowledge of relevant software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook); must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, and consistently produce high-quality work product.
Qualifications and Prior Experience
- The successful candidate will have 5 years of experience as a legal administrative assistant
- Knowledge or experience with ProLaw or Timeslips software is a plus
- Experience with current local, state and federal court filing requirements.
