Legal Secretary

A Fairfax Law Firm is seeking a Legal Secretary. You will be working with nice attorneys whose practices include real estate, business/corporate, and family law, in a generally relaxed, friendly and collegial work environment. They offer competitive pay and benefits. The role is fully in-office 5 days a week, and it is a 35 hour work week.

Status: Direct Hire
Salary: $25-30/hour DOE

What You'll Do:

• Managing attorney schedules
• Opening new case files; calendar and docket maintenance
• Interaction with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

Job Requirements:

• Computer proficient, with typing accuracy and speed
• Grammar / proofreading skills
• Strong MS Office (especially Word and Excel) skills
• Organizational skills, with strong attention to detail
• Enjoyment of working with others
• Excellent telephone skills
• Keep client files updated and well organized on regular basis
• Familiarity with procedures/filing requirements of Northern Virginia courts
• Comfortable and good at communication skills to interact with attorneys, clients and outside persons
• Prior experience as a legal secretary is required.
