Truck Sales Manager

Description

The primary function of the Sales Manager is to supervise the daily operations of truck sales within the department and ensure that sales goals are met and that the department is profitable.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Manages the assets and understands the financial impact on the company.
• Understands the needs of the customer as well as their business needs to serve them better.
• Leads and supervises truck department employees, motivate, and maintains harmony amongst the employees.
• Evaluates truck department performance against targets and standards and takes appropriate action.
• Analyzes the market potential for the industry.
• Controls inventory and orders stock trucks.
• Evaluates the condition and sets pricing for trade in’s.
• Trains and develops staff and ensures all Kenworth/Paccar training requirements are up to date.
• Cooperates with other departments to ensure the good of the company.
• Actively participates in meetings.
• Schedules and sets goals and holds employees accountable based on the set standards.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Heavy Duty Truck market with sales and management experience.

Proven ability to motivate a sales team and persuasive and optimistic demeanor.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should know basic computer skills.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Position requires the ability to operate motor vehicles and have a safe driving record. Current Commercial Driver's License is preferred but not required.
