What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prep Cook position at Paloma Coffee & Bakery?
Paloma Coffee & Bakery in Brooklyn (Greenpoint and Williamsburg) is looking for a committed and motivated Prep Cook to execute our range of in-house made menu items consisting of, but not limited to, sandwiches, house made nut milks, chai and to work their way into our bakery team.
Type of person we’re looking for:
- Above all: a great, can-do, positive attitude!
- Minimum one year experience as prep cook, pastry assistant, or similar
- A self-starter who can work independently with urgency
- Must be organized and clean
- Takes direction well ('Yes, Chef!' attitude), strong willingness to learn, and willing to take on a range of tasks to get the job done
- Has great energy and a positive attitude
- Schedule must be flexible with the growing needs of the business.
- Has a valid NYC Food Handler’s Certificate

Pay: $17-22/hr DOE
We are currently hiring for both full-time and part-time roles.
