Job Title: Senior Clerk
Organization: HE and Materials Testing (51074505)
- Maintains accurate filing systems
- Types reports, memos, form letters, and other material from notes, reference copy, and instructions
- Answers telephones, takes messages, refers calls, and schedules appointments
- Performs any combinations of non-routine duties such as checking calculations, tabulating and recording data collecting, sorting, classifying, assembling, and processing information from generally established sources
- Operates and may maintain the service coordination for various office machines such as the calculator, copier, facsimile, typewriter, personal computer and printers
- Maintains administrative databases involving time and attendance, ordering of office supplies, payroll coordination, budget, etc.
- Utilizes procurement systems as required
- Required to attend and/or successfully complete training classes as determined by the Training and Development Technologies Department, through General Employee Training (Reference DOE Order 426.2)
- Attends all required safety meetings and training, offers suggestions on improvements to the work environment
- Understands a worker's right to stop work when they feel their own or others personal safety is jeopardized
- Responsible for maintaining a thorough knowledge of applicable Federal, State, DOE, Corporate and Plant rules, regulations and Plant-wide operating policies and procedures

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
