The Role

Reporting to the Senior Vice President – Technology & Enterprise Services, you will lead a team that drives our process transformation efforts and embeds best practices in process design and implementation throughout the organization. As part of your specific responsibilities, you will:

• 
  Manage the overall process excellence program and be able to make iterative changes as appropriate to keep the program evolving to support Par Pacific’s future needs
• Develop and implement a continuous improvement strategy to enhance the overall effectiveness of the Process Excellence function by defining standards, governance, tools, and methodology.
• Facilitate process improvement meetings and workshops, including business process reengineering sessions, brainstorming sessions, and various process improvement guidance to staff.
• Determine options to achieve objectives and propose future state options to leaders, which will require early iterations with IT and other stakeholders to develop the best option that balances effort, impact, and speed
• Using in-depth professional knowledge, acumen, concepts, and company objectives to develop programs and procedures and resolve complex issues.
• Ability to think strategically, to proactively understand stakeholder needs, and provide solutions to overcome obstacles.
• Perform other duties as assigned

The Requirements

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a good fit for the Director, Process Excellence & Architecture opportunity, you will have:

• 
  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year institution or equivalent work experience
• Have a good understanding of our industry and associated technology
• Experience in robotic process automation and artificial learning programs, technologies, and successful implementation background
• Demonstrated understanding and demonstrated application of various improvement methodologies and tools in Six Sigma, Lean and Agile: DAMAIC, A3 Development and Management, Process Flow Mapping, Value Stream Mapping, 5S/Fishbone, Process Problem Solving, Kaizen/Continuous Improvement, SIPOC, Scrum, etc.
• Business & IT consulting experience - Business Process Engineering, IT Tools Roadmap/Architecture planning at Business Unit level, is a plus
