The Role
Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, you will support, develop, and progress functionality for logistics, refinery, and associated field applications and their users. Focus areas include OSI PI, cBliss and lab instrumentation, Varec fuels Manager, other specialized software's, etc. The RSA will work directly with business, Operational Technology (OT), and IT functions to ensure refinery applications meet business requirements and operate at high performance and functional levels. This role will work heavily with the operational engineering and the Distributed Control Systems (DCS) groups.
This position will manage core refinery servers, applications, and databases. In addition, they will work with plant operations and plant management to solve issues, perform upgrades, and provide reporting. They will also collaborate with networking and cyber security groups to offer solutions to keep OT systems safe, secure, and compliant with company and government regulations.
Finally, the RSA will collaborate with counterparts at other corporate locations to bring congruency to applications, processes, and procedures across the organization. This also includes working with the local IT team to report and to integrate OT processes with all of IT.

Pay Range:
$91,584 to $158,668 per year

Major Accountabilities
- Meets with Engineering/Operations to gather and document effective business requirements (system requirements) and translate requirements to system design. Works internally with Enterprise Architects and/or with third party vendors to design, develop, deploy and support project solutions per business requirements.
- Performs database and server maintenance as required.
- Participates on cross-functional project teams, providing expertise on the subject and ensuring that new system objects are supported by developing administrative procedures.
- Manages and participates in projects as assigned and works with team members across the company to deliver project goals.
- Maps and analyzes end-to-end business processes within the third party and proprietary systems as well as integration with SAP.
- Manages server clusters, including; maintenance, balancing, and creating new VMs.
- Implements new systems and enhancements with appropriate testing, change management, and communication with minimal rework.
- Identifies research and resolves system issues proactively and provides recommendations to management, Operations, and peers.
- Supports high-level end-user requests and coordinates within the IT framework to ensure effective use of current IT systems.
- Functionally understands and works to be the subject matter expert with knowledge of applications for which the role is responsible.
- Participates in production support, issue resolution, and change control management activities.
- Interprets existing IT controls environment and applies to current and proposed processes to ensure compliance.

- 4 years of diversified information technology experience and working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems with exposure to the Oil and Gas industry or congruent Production environments, using DCS controls and process management applications.
- 4 Years working within professional, enterprise IT organization.
- Significant experience working with various refinery related applications, including ABB, TMS/DTN, Cbliss, PI, and Fuels Manager or Other SCADA Control platforms.
- Strong SQL Server or related database skills, including SQL analytics and Oracle.
- Experience developing complex SQL queries and managing multiple databases.
- Strong server management skills, including mastery of ESXi/VSphere Cluster Management.
- Experience with application and script development (VB/VBA, PowerShell, .NET, Python, HTML5, and JavaScript) is preferred.
- Strong Crystal reports design experience.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new industry-specific software.
- Working knowledge of an oil and gas logistics and refining organization preferred.
- Understanding of productions technology including, SACDA Controls, PLCs, DCS, instrumentation, process technology, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, business administration or equivalent experience in a related field is required.
- Ability to obtain appropriate certifications to support industry specific applications.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written required.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to adjust work schedule to accommodate unexpected changes.
