Our outpatient infusion centers are managed by Family Nurse Practitioners. They provide a comprehensive list of infusions that include, but are not limited to, biologics, antibiotics, hydration therapy, iron, and enzyme replacements. The Administrative Assistant performs tasks related to overall front office operations including answering phones, filing, patient reception, inventory management and specific projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:
- Initial Vital Signs completion and going over status since the last infusion
- Providing summary of the above to the RN or NP taking over pt care
- Vital signs as needed during patient infusion and therapy
- Assisting NP with charting medications on the NP assessment
- administrative duties as assigned for appointment
- Stocking the center for patient care
- Ordering supplies as designated and inventory mgmt
- Coordinating delivery of medications from the specialty pharmacy
- answering phones and scheduling appts
- Discharge patients upon completion of infusion therapy
- Receives orders from referral sources, order renewal requests and processes appropriately.
- Completes admission process as directed by Nurse Practitioner/RN.
- Assists with billing by obtaining necessary patient information for insurance verification, pre-authorization and obtains applicable patient documents.
- Documents all pertinent data in the patient’s medical record. Reports all significant changes or observations to the Nurse Practitioner/RN
- Ensures that the office area is clean and ready for the working day every morning. Ensures that the office has sufficient supplies to perform daily activities.
- Communicates effectively with other members of the IV team on patient status and observations.
- Manages applicable aspects of inventory as assigned.
- Assists with scheduling appointments for patients and vendors, organize overflowing paper documents and distribute required information in a professional and courteous manner.

About You:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- One year's experience, preferably in a medical office.
- Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent computer and typing skills necessary for company workflow and completion of daily tasks
- CPR certification required
- Competent at partner programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Appropriate immunizations current
- TB screen (as required by policy)
- Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver
- Other state required health tests allowable by law
- Ability to lift 20 pounds
Salary Range:
We take pride in ensuring we compensate our employees fairly and equitably. We provide a range and actual starting pay may be based on several factors including but not limited to, market rate, qualifications, internal compensation, candidate location, and budgetary constraints.
$16 - $23/hour
