This position consist in the repairs and maintains plastic molding machinery and electro-mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulics, conveyor systems, electrical devices and production machines and equipment.Responsibilities/Duties:
- Perform and complete hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting.
- Repair of molding machines, supporting equipment and facility repair.
- Installation of new assets, electric, plumbing and mechanical along with building auxiliary equipment repairs.
- Complete preventative maintenance of assigned functions.
- Maintain assembly production equipment on a daily basis to ensure they are running to optimum performance.
- Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and PLC troubleshooting.
- Uses hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and electrical testing equipment.
- Communicate real time status of Assembly operations with Team Leader throughout the shift.
- Make necessary and/ or routine machine adjustments and to repair equipment in an effort to provide continuous production.
- Responsible for knowing how to operate all machines and equipment in order to understand their function and repair them
- Responsible for making tooling changes (size) within a reasonable amount of time.
- Performs other duties as assigned by immediate management.
- Replaces or repairs parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches and other electrical parts and equipment.
- Initiates purchase order for parts and machines, lubricates, and cleans parts, start devices to test their performance.
- Required to participate in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours as required.
- Follows all safety rules and procedures and observes the operations to insure a safe environment.
- 3 years experience in the role
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Full and complete understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and PLC troubleshooting.
- Must have strong PLC troubleshooting capability and ability to read and program code.
- Must have good working knowledge of all aspects of electrical controls, mechanical assembly, plumbing, and heating, ventilating and air conditioning related control systems.
- Experience with Injection Molding for plastic packaging for industrial use.
1st Shift
7:00AM to 7:15PM (Rotating Schedule)
Compensation:
Up to $45/hr. – Depending on Experience (DOE)
