What are the responsibilities and job description for the Die Cutter position at Parallel Employment?
Under the direction of the shift supervisor, the die cutter is responsible for operating and maintaining a machine with minimum assistance. Also, the die cutter will be responsible for the quality of work and must also have a strong understanding of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures. 2nd and 3rd shift openings available.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ability to read 6th grade level English and understand the traveler.
2. Ability to perform die cut daily duties which includes, but not limited to, being able to
setup the die cut scale, retrieve and return tubes and boxes, pull lids, put rolls on and off
machines, and adjust die cut registration up / down / left and right.
3. Completes in- process inspections, follows work instructions and controls die cut quality.
4. Ability to complete simple math equations and completely and accurately fill out skid
tags, daily paperwork and material return tags.
5. Must be able to clean the die cut machine.
6. *Complete daily and Bi-Monthly 5`s cleaning and properly document the cleaning.
Requirements

Education and/or Experience
- One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to read and communicate effectively at 6th grade level. Will be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Must be able to add and subtract six digit numbers and know how to multiply and divide.
- They must be able to measurement, volume, and distance.
- Must be able to follow Packaging Solutions quality standards and company policies and procedures and apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
