Quality Assurance Inspector:
We are looking for a responsible Quality Inspector to check the quality of all incoming and outgoing material and products as well as production procedures. You will be a firm advocate of quality in our business. The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. In depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards is essential. The goal is to ensure that our products are made of flawless materials with well-functioning equipment. That way our customers will enjoy high-quality merchandise so that we can achieve long-term success.
Requirements:
In-process and final inspection and verification of production parts
Non-conformance containment including tracing non-conforming condition back to start and segregating all potentially non-conforming material
Instruct and communicate quality requirements across departments
Communicate effectively with other shifts at shift change on a daily basis
Completion of all required documentation, legibly and accurately on paper and electronically in computer systems
Inspection of production documentation for accuracy and conformance
Use, maintain, and store quality assurance equipment and instruments properly
Properly file all documentation and samples
Maintain a professional relationship with all other employees
Keep a clean and orderly work area
Carry out supervisor’s requests as needed
Support and adhere to Polymer Conversion’s Corporate Mission and Core Values
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in the use and maintenance of standard measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, plug gages, etc.) required. Experience using a vision measurement system a plus.
Intermediate math skills, including geometry, required.
Ability to read blueprints preferred, training available
Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbal and written communication
Able to lift 30 pounds and perform frequent standing and walking tasks required
Proficient with general computer skills and able to learn new software
Experience with Excel and Word is a plus
Experience and Education:
1-3 years experience in quality assurance preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Multiple shifts have openings. Shifts are Monday to Friday
1st (7:50 am - 3:50 pm)
2nd (3:50 pm - 11:50 pm)
3rd (11:50 pm - 7:50 am)
Weekend shifts of either Friday - Saturday - Sunday or Saturday - Sunday - Monday
4th (11:50 pm - 11:50 am)
5th (11:50 am - 11:50 pm)
Pay Range $15.00 - $18.50 per hour
