Wages: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour plus incentives

Job Summary

The Encapsulation Technician (1) works to maintain high sanitary standard throughout the preparation, set-up and operation of the designated jobs while meeting the high-quality manufacturing specifications with a safe work environment.  Always working towards the improvement of quality in all operations. Level 1 tier has proven to operate and identify all parts and operations of encapsulation.

Essential Functions

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Operate and monitor assigned machines for the production of dietary supplements.
• Troubleshoot issues related to product quality and machine performance at a tier 1.
• Perform job duties within the established quality control guidelines of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Complete all job-related documentation accurately and timely including Redzone.
• Maintain high sanitary standards of cleanliness of workspace, equipment, and materials at all times.
• Perform cleaning duties of workspace to maintain sanitary conditions before, during and after processing a new job.
• Produce products that are defect free and properly identified.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, pallet jacks and other tools as required to perform essential job duties.
• Communicate directly with Supervisor concerning any discrepancies such as but not limited to: safety, quality, operations or health concerns.
• Follow the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines at all times.
• Maintain accurate Batch records and proper use of Redzone.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Completion of Tier 1 Encapsulation.
• Ability to communicate both orally and written to supervisors and other employees.
• Knowledge of general mathematics
• Experienced computer skills including word processors, spreadsheets and databases
• Ability to understand, follow and implement written SOP’s
• Ability to take criticism from other employees
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Ability to stand all day
