Commercial Development Project Manager

We are seeking a Commercial Development Project Manager to work on a variety of commercial building initiatives and oversee all aspects (i.e., cost, schedule, quality) and phases of construction. This professional managing and coordinating all necessary project resources and documentation throughout the entire project lifecycle. This includes the maintenance of budget and schedule, and the management and administration of all contractual requirements, agreements with trade partners, purchase orders, meeting minutes and shop drawing logs. This individual also manages risk, insurances, general work performance and quality, and overall team progress against the project plan through consistent communication and collaboration with the owner and project team members. The Senior Construction Manager must be an effective leader and communicator able to manage, cultivate and mentor team members to promote their professional growth. This position will oversee all aspects/phases of construction including:
- Coordination and tracking of plans and permitting process
- Review of architectural and engineering drawings for completeness and accuracy
- Coordination and preparation of construction agreement exhibits
- Review/negotiation of GC budget and proposed change orders
- Review and monitoring of construction schedule and daily construction activities
- Review and approve GC and subcontractors monthly payment applications
- Ensuring compliance with building and safety codes, standards, and selections
- Ensure project milestones and requirements are met
- All responsibilities associated with the daily management of a construction project to close out, including but not limited to procurement and coordination of Owner/Developer furnished furniture and equipment
- Ability to communicate/direct effectively with development team, including architect, engineer, GC, etc.
Requirements/Qualifications
We seek a bright, focused, solutions-oriented and strategic-minded candidate with proven experience as a Senior Construction Project Manager. This individual must knowledge of construction methods and technologies, ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts, building code requirements and scheduling methods. A Bachelor’s degree is required in Construction Management or a related field and must have 10 years of experience in management of new construction and remodeling projects.
