Business Process Analyst
The Business Analyst is responsible for reviewing, prioritizing, modifying and recommending business requirements applied to our databases and systems under the direct oversight of the Business Process Director. In addition, this role will pinpoint how Exotic can leverage its strengths and improve its weaknesses through various business process improvements and through the use of technology or software. This role works closely with the programming team to test the solution, record and track technical issues and implement any needed changes.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Review, prioritize and propose business process improvements across all departments within the organization.
· Recommend solutions that are right sized, robust, stable and designed for the long term. Must be able to see big picture impacts on other systems and assess risk.
· Partner with business/user representatives to understand the customer processes and user needs.
· Develop business processes using task flow analysis and workflow analysis
· Research, analyze, and present the most relevant information about the project
· Know when to recommend a project be delayed or terminated
· Able to differentiate between desired and required user needs
· Use strong analytical reasoning to understand end user’s requirements to create an operational application.
· Acquire deep working knowledge of Exotic’s business systems and bring efficient and effective changes for better performance.
· Understand the technical designs and specifications.
· Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients to understand their needs and deliver both functional requirements and formal, documented business processes.
· Act as project manager for cross functional team initiatives.
Skills, Education and Required Experience
The ideal candidate will have excellent written, oral, organization, project management, presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Because business analysts must interact with executives, users and technical staff, networking and team building skills are preferred. Business analysts should also have the ability to train, lead and mentor other analysts.
· Time and project management and prioritization skills a must. Demonstrated success in leading projects to close on time, within budget and within scope. Able to understand the customer’s needs and position a solution which best addresses all of the customer’s needs.
· Strong analytic and technical skills including writing functional and technical requirements. Database design, software design and testing methodology a must.
· Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,900.14 per year
