POSITION SUMMARY:
The Parker County Jail-Weatherford, TX under the management of LaSalle Corrections is seeking to hire Correctional Officers. Selected candidates will be responsible for supervising and controlling inmate activity within the correctional facility. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Supervises inmates in living areas and recreational activities. Supervises inmates and visitors in visitation areas.
Serves as control center officer, coordinates and monitors inmate movements, conduct counts, and provides emergency response.
Ensures prompt and appropriate assistance to inmates in the event of injury, illness, and emotional trauma.
Prepares reports and maintains daily logs as required.
Conduct shakedown for contraband materials, either individually or as part of a specialized team.
Promotes facility cleanliness and reports need for maintenance and/or repairs.
Performs a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed.
EDUCATION:
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
High School Diploma or equivalent or GED required.
Must be US Citizen with a valid TX Driver's License.
Must be emotionally stable, understanding, and philosophically attuned to the objectives of the facility.
Must be able to PASS a Drug Test, a Background Check.
Documents necessary for position: Birth Certificate, DD214 (if prior military),TX Driver's License
