Position is located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah
Conducts analyses of unique and considerable scope and complexity and administers major programs or several major portions of programs to ensure fulfillment of program obligations, production goals and supplier liaison.
1. Conducts plan studies for major programs, groups of programs, or major portions of programs. Monitors budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements.
2. Monitors and reports on status of programs by tracking and analyzing current revenues and expenses and advises management on the projected effect of any modifications to agreements.
3. Plans and coordinates investigations into customer reports of technical product or service problems. Reviews performance trends, reports, and documentation regarding malfunctioning or damaged products. Analyzes performance and maintenance service records.
4. Establishes and defines program plan requirements and supplier metrics and performs in-depth studies to determine optimum production plans.
5. Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met. Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends utilizing program management software.
6. Initiates business contacts and prepares required documentation to ensure accurate records of program compliance are maintained.
7. Coordinates cross-functional development of project plans and programs. Interfaces with suppliers and customers and performs extensive investigation as required to fulfill project obligations
8. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications establishing networks and/or participating in professional associations.
9. Complies with federal, state, and aerospace industry regulations; ensures adherence to requirements and advises management on needed actions.
10. Applies and may lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve the efficiency of internal systems and processes within the division and/or with corporate and customer involvement. Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses. Analyzes proposed changes in methods.
11. Acts as consultant to management on major matters. Establishes goals and objectives required to complete projects. Identifies mentoring needs. Trains and mentors less experienced employees. May provide leadership to others in department or to ad-hoc teams. May serve as functional expert.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field, which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field. Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through eight or more years of increasingly responsible related program administration related experience.
