Position Summary (A Day in the Life)
The warehouse manager leads and manages all phases of warehouse/supply chain operations including production supply, daily/monthly inventory counts, shipping, receiving, storage of supplies, materials, and purchasing. Trains, coaches, supports and holds accountable all warehouse personnel to ensure that all processes, procedures and standard work instructions are being followed.
Primary Responsibilities
Handles day-to-day warehouse documentation, ensures its accuracy and timely input into reporting systems
Provides training to shift personnel to make sure all employees have the tools necessary for optimum performance.
Utilizes data systems to identify areas of opportunity for continuous improvement.
Champions all safety initiatives within the facility to ensure all safety goals and objectives are met, maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.
Instruct and train employees in safety, ensure duties are performed in accordance with safety regulations, while leading by example ensuring own actions are performed in accordance with safety regulations.
Ensure that all employees always have and use proper safety equipment.
Ensures the proper tagging and storage of materials (regrind, waste, etc.)
Must help reduce the amount of scrap waste within the facility.
Experience and Physical Requirements
Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school and one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge in OSHA, SQF, GMP, HACCP, FSMA, plant production systems, sanitation, plant safety, quality systems and regulations.
