What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Contract Specialist position at Parker Tide Corp.?
Parker Tide is a veteran-owned, small business in DC. We serve as a value-added partner to the government. We are currently seeking a Junior Contract Specialist to work with one of our DC clients.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree.
Period of Performance: One year and four option years.
Salary: $25.84 per hour $4.23 per hour for health and welfare.
Duties (Procurement):
- Provide administrative support such as developing and maintaining security reports.
- Aid with submission of contracts and monitor all receiving reports through EASi database
- Monitor, respond, and investigate invoice payments in compliance with agency regulations / policies.
- Analyze and provide technical support to program staff confirming all contracts are paid out through Pegasys database.
- Attend meetings, briefings, and other activities in support of organizational programs, notes commitments made, and inform staff of commitments and deadlines.
- Maintain and monitor integrated reporting for assigned programs and communicate information to Senior Specialists for action or resolution.
- Research, prepare, and coordinate Justification and Approvals (J&A), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), Determination and Findings (D&F), and Statement of Work (SOW) documents.
- Prepare written contract requirements package actions from cradle to grave for CO review.
- Report closeout on end of contracts.
- Create and monitor all purchase orders through credit cards for projects.
- Provide COR approved contract requirement packages to Contracting Offices.
- Solve invoicing issues by assisting Budget Officer with reconciliation reports.
- Administer accuracy of pertinent data relating to the contractual process.
- Assist Contracting Officer in resolving pre-award and post-award documents.
- Conduct market research for cost, price, and other relevant analyses for procurements.
- Prepare and review contract modifications and solicitation packages.
- Prepare and maintain official conformed contract files in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Verify status of various contractual actions by compiling reports.
- Ensure adequate funding availability for acquisitions to support mission requirements.
