What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shuttle Bus Driver position at Parks Transportation, Inc.?
Job Summary
Operates National Park Service buses on scenic drive in Zion National Park and the town of Springdale. The hours will vary, but will average 40 hours per week for full-time or 20 hours per week for part-time drivers. This is a seasonal position starting in February through November and during the Christmas/New Year holiday season.
A class B CDL is required. Must complete 120 hours of paid training which will include acquiring a CDL license.
Shifts start as early as 6:00 AM and finish as late as 10:30 PM. Working holiday weekends is a requirement. Must be able to work in outdoor temperatures reaching as high as 115 degrees during the summer.
Must be able to pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Safely operate buses on scenic drive in Zion National Park & Springdale, Utah. Must properly handle passengers, which includes aiding any handicapped visitor by securing the person and their device into the proper bus location. Complete required paperwork. If needed, manually operate windows, doors and wheelchair lift. Provide friendly, informative information to park visitors.
Qualifications and Skills
Complete 120 hours of training and obtain a Class B CDL driver's license. Pass random drug screens and background checks.
Benefits
Hourly base wage is $18.39 per hour plus a health and wealth fare benefit of $4.60 paid on the first 40 hours of work per week. We offer sick pay and holiday pay. Uniforms are provided by the company. There is NO housing provided.
