General Description:

The Executive Director has systemwide responsibility for promoting and demonstrating Parrish Healthcare's Culture of Choice®; actively and effectively participates in ensuring strategic goals and objectives are met or exceeded; provides the leadership and oversight necessary to ensure assigned functional area(s) -Finance, Accounting, Patient Financial Services (Patient Access, Business Office and Revenue Integrity) - have the proper resources, metrics and talent in place to effectively fulfill our mission to provide Healing Experiences for Everyone all the Time® and achieve systemwide strategic (Game Plan) goals. This role reports directly to the Chief Finance Officer (CFO). The Executive Director assumes 24-hour responsibility and accountability for assigned functional area(s).

Key Responsibilities:

HEALING COMMUNITIES | GROWTH

1.Directs strategic planning within assigned functional area(s)-finance, accounting, patient financial services-develops, implements, organizes, and evaluates strategic initiatives in accordance with industry leading practices and in alignment with established system goals to include, but not limited to meeting or exceeding dashboard metrics within each strategic pillar (People, Service, Quality, Growth, Finances); takes immediate and effective steps to assure national benchmarks are achieved or sustained.

1. Collaborates with CFO and other system departmental leaders on strategic and operational planning, revenue and cost optimization and other system driven initiatives.

HEALING EXPERIENCES | SERVICE

1. Leads and develops departmental systems, processes, policies and procedures that result in assigned area of responsibility and care partners always providing excellent, healing patient, family, and visitor experiences as measured by HCAHPS and/or other national best-practice benchmarks.

SYSTEM RELIABILITY | QUALITY & SAFETY

1. Directs, develops, implements, organizes, and evaluates leading edge talent acquisition and retention systems in alignment with the system's culture and goals to include, but not limited to, recruitment, orientation, onboarding, employee engagement (retention), performance management; workforce planning, leadership continuity/succession planning, etc.

2. Directs systems, processes, policies and procedures that result in a continuous improvement environment within which assigned area(s) and care partners always achieve national best/leading-practice standards for quality and safety as measured by CMS, Joint Commission, and other regulatory agencies pertinent to areas of responsibility; holding self and others accountable for actions and outcomes. Leads necessary certification, accreditation, and audit procedures; and ensures that reports required by regulatory agencies are prepared and submitted within established timeframes.

3. Responsible for the adherence to all organizational policies and procedures as well as regulations and codes established by federal, state, and local governments affecting professional practice and industry regulations.

1. 2. Maintains skills and knowledge within professional practice; able to step in and serve as back up to assigned care partners to cover staffing needs as necessary.

COMMUNITY INVESTMENT | FINANCE

1. Manages systems, processes, policies and procedures that result in effective planning and administration of annual budget(s); productive, cost efficient and effective operations within assigned functional area(s); and effective corrective actions for any operating expenses that deviate from budget. Develops forward-looking wage and salary projections in collaboration with Finance.

2. Directs systems, process, policies and procedure that result in effective position control across the system.

Requirements:

Formal Education

• Bachelor's Degree required in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited university.
• Masters preferred

Work Experience

• Greater than 7 years of relevant experience; >5 years of leadership experience with AS/AA degree;

Required Licenses and Certifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
• Current Sigma Six Green Belt certification, or required within one (1) year of employment
• HFMA certification a plus
