About the role:
In this role you are in charge of a defined portfolio of standard reinsurance claims, which you will analyze, monitor, report and process.
In more detail your tasks are:
- Checking and registering loss advices, cash-loss requests and technical accounts which are within the scope of the assigned accounts
- Reviewing, analyzing incoming loss information from clients and assessing the appropriateness and accurracy of the exposures as presented. Responsible for establishing and/or recommending the appropriate reserves.
- The portfolio of claims would include treaty reinsurance claims for a variety of lines of business including Professional Liability, General Liability, WC, and Property.
- Interacting within the claims team and other internal business partners, including Underwriters and Actuaries, as well as external business partners including brokers and clients.
- Preparing and organizing information and data which are necessary for management reports on a daily, weekly or quarterly basis ensuring proper communication of developments and issues to internal management and business partners
- Administration of claims within department policies utlizing the various department systems
- Participating in regular data quality checks
About you:
To be successful in this role, you need to bring along the following profile:
- College/University Degree
- At least 5-10 years experience in claims administration, including good general re/insurance knowledge
- Knowledge and/or experience with US claims business and exposures would be valued
- Proficiency with Excel and Word
- Ideally experience with the reinsurance data system SICS/nt, Workflow systems and knowledge of a reporting tools (e.g. Business Objects
- Detail oriented, with a high level of efficiency
- Highly organized, focused, self motivated and adaptable for developing changes
- To be able to work independently in a consistent and professional manner, but competent to seek guidance when needed
Additional Information
PartnerRe offers its staff a hybrid work environment. You will be required to work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. Monday & Friday are remote work days.
