Summary
The Information Technology (IT) Technician is responsible and accountable for the smooth running of all company computer systems. The IT Technician will routinely interact with employees from various departments and levels and respond to their technical needs and resolve any problems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain information technology and computer infrastructure
- Assist staff with IT related devices associated with their job function i.e. cell phones and tablets
- Implement and coordinate systems that comply with company policies and procedures.
- Testing and Troubleshooting computer hardware or software issues.
- Supporting other IT peripheral devices such as copiers, printers, and scanners
- Assisting staff via call-ins, live chat, and remote access
- Open and close IT tickets in a timely manner
- Basic networking skills
- Maintaining a secure IT environment including security systems, databases, phone systems and data storage systems
- Assist in troubleshooting Apple Operating Systems (IOS) and Microsoft Windows Operating system platforms
- Ordering and maintaining inventory of all IT assets
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in computer science or related field preferred. 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role with an understanding of database platforms and client software installation may be substituted for education requirement.
- Proficient with Apple Operating system (IOS) and Microsoft Windows Operating system platforms familiar with a wide range of software and hardware, security systems, databases, phone systems and data storage systems.
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation, ability to travel to sites and offices located in CT, MA, NH & RI
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8:30 am to 4:30 pm)
Job Type: Full-time
