What it's about
Partners Group’s Structuring business unit is responsible for developing innovative product/investment structures for institutional and private investors globally. Structuring professionals regularly interact with the firm’s client relationship management, investment, and operations teams, as well as with clients and external professionals. Representative projects may include, for example, the establishment of product/investment vehicles (limited partnerships and other investment funds), design and formation of bespoke product/investment structures, development, negotiation and implementation of customized separate accounts/funds-of-one, conversion of client demand (including drafting of side letters), implementation of credit facilities, review of regulatory frameworks and participation in marketing meetings.
Responsibilities
- Draft and/or review agreements, offering memoranda and documentation relating to product/investment structures (funds, mandates, financing solutions)
- Design and implement innovative product/investment structures
- Instruct and manage external legal advisors and other service providers
- Research key considerations relevant to specific clients, products and jurisdictions
- Support business development efforts and separate account/fund-of-one negotiations with clients and their advisors, including business development efforts
- Account negotiations with clients and their advisors, including business development efforts
- Efficiently manage complex structuring projects
- Act as firm’s first line of defense on regulatory issues
What we expect
- 3-5 years of relevant product/investment structuring work experience within private markets, asset management or similar field
- Top academic credentials in law (J.D. or LL.M. required)
- Self-motivated and proactive individual with strong desire to learn and succeed
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, project and task management skills to manage multiple projects at any one time
- Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external parties
- Proficiency in another language is a plus

- Partners Group compensation has a long-term outlook and philosophy, and our total compensation emphasizes performance-based long-term incentives. Base pay range for this role is $160 – 200k and a performance-based bonus and equity are part of the total compensation package.
