Partners Pharmacy is now hiring a Pharmacy Technician to work in our Corporate Billing Department on-site in Springfield, NJ. This is a great career opportunity in Long-Term Care Pharmacy!
The ideal candidate will have previous Retail or Long-Term Care Pharmacy Technician experience performing insurance verifications, processing prior authorizations and/or contacting insurance companies for approvals.
Job Description
Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, no weekends
The Pharmacy Billing Representative will be responsible for:
- Handles all aspects of facility and private billing for assigned client facilities and provides exceptional customer service by handling inquiries
- Updates the system with face sheet information for residents in their assigned facilities and tracks and enters daily census for assigned facilities
- Reviews and updates system with resident information received from returned contracts for assigned facilities.
- Handles re-bill rejections resulting from status changes for assigned facilities.
- On a monthly basis, contacts Unysis, CMS, and facilities to follow up on pending Medicaid statuses.
- Follow up with doctors and facilities for necessary Medicare B compliance documentation and maintain compliance documentation needed and complete patient files for Medicare B billing requirements
- Reconcile claims including secondary claims and research for each state
- Participates in ongoing education and new compliance issues for appropriate billing of Medicare B claims
- Maintains confidentiality, security and integrity of PHI information
- Communicate any issues to Third Party manager that need to be addressed or any issues that need to be resolved.
- Maintains and fosters positive work environment within the billing and admissions departments and communicates effectively with company personnel
Qualifications:
- Previous Pharmacy Technician experience is strongly preferred
- Must have knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid billing
- Communication, problem solving and organizational skills a must
- Must be able to work in a fast pace environment and meet deadlines
- Typing, computer and multi-tasking skills are a must
- Strong customer service skills
