Responsibilities
- Framing drywall, sheetrock, taping, and painting
- Installing door frames, all types of door hardware, panic bars, handrails, and stairs repairs/replacement, including no slip treads
- Repairing and installing windows and frames, hanging TV's monitors, and installing surveillance video cameras
- Installing floor safes, cash drawers, and building new breakrooms and wood countertops for store locations
- Installing weather stripping and building lunchroom tables and bench seats
- Installing plastic curtain walls for heat and cold retention, building storage closets, and installing steel floor grating and performing minor welding
- Performing minor garage door repairs and installing wood fencing to separate lots
- Building auto paint mixing rooms as per code
- Replacing faucets, sink traps, PVC and brass, and soldering copper lines where needed
- Unclogging toilets and drains, and replacing toilets, wax rings, urinals, and flushometers as needed
- Installing company-supplied eye wash stations and replacing small hot water heaters as needed
- Performing minor patching of concrete warehouse floors, minor blacktop repairs in parking lots, minor dock repairs, and installing dock levelers
- Applying epoxy to concrete floors as needed
- Replacing ceiling lights in retail stores and warehouses, dropped ceiling tiles and grid where needed, and installing small ceiling fans
- Installing wall outlets, light switches, basic wiring, smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide detectors where needed, and replacing defective electrical breakers as needed
- Installing vinyl and wood flooring as needed
- Installing car stop bumpers and concrete bollards, and performing minor landscape maintenance for overgrown vegetation on lots and parking areas
- Servicing snow blowers and small in-house store generators
Qualifications
Requirements: Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance and repair work, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and concrete work
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations for working with electrical, plumbing, and other equipment
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials
