Job Overview:
The maintenance mechanic is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment within the fabrication, printing, and extrusion departments. This position assists in the development of departmental enhancements and assists in machine design and testing. The mechanic provides technical and training support for machine operators in the facility to ensure production expectations are met.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform general machine repair and upgrades
- Complete equipment preventive maintenance
- Support efforts to ensure the plant maintains cleanliness and safety
- Assist in the development, installation, and testing of programs for fabrication machinery
- Perform start-up and debug on new equipment
- Document technical procedures involved in the installation and use of new enhancements to machines
- Train machine operators and other plant personnel as required on machine enhancements.
- Aid plant personnel as required
- Aid the fabrication department for die changes
Skills/Qualifications Required:
- Technical degree (2 year) or equivalent experience
- Previous experience with intermittent motion/packaging equipment helpful
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with a diverse environment
- Electrical, electronic, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Rotating shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Eden Prairie, MN 55344: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
