A little bit about the role:
As a General Ledger Accountant, you will be a valuable member of the team performing various complex task related to accounting function. This position requires advanced education, knowledge, and competency in accounting principles and practices as well as accuracy and attentiveness to detail.
A little bit about the duties you'll perform:
You will prepare and post journal entries, including invoices, accruals and cash transactions. You enjoy analyzing changes in account balances and making recommendations to correct errors as appropriate. You are detail orientated which attributes to making reconciling accounts second nature for you.
You understand what it takes to support monthly and annual close processes. You prepare cost allocations and understand deadlines and support schedules & reports related to amortization, accruals, & recurring accounting activities.
You possess the following Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Accounting or equivalent experience.
- Understand full accounting cycle.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office and M365.
- Experience using Oracle R12 preferred.
- Organized with a strong sense of priority and commitment to deadlines.
- Proficiency in Excel to analyze data, format, filter, summarize and combine data from multiple sources.
- Ability to multitask and assist co-workers as necessary.
- Ability to communicate clearly, be detail oriented and have a high degree of self-motivation.
- Must maintain a high level of integrity and work ethic while working with confidential information.
- Read, analyze, and interpret accounting, regulatory, financial, and legal instructions, journals, authoritative pronouncements, reports, and documents necessary to perform your assignments.
- Makes sound business decisions – makes timely and well-informed decisions that advance critical priorities, capitalize on new opportunities, and resolve problems
