We are seeking a Dean of Academic Affairs who will be responsible for overseeing career and technical academic programs, dual enrollment programs, and prior learning assessment. He/She serves as a liaison with Continuing Education Department.

- Provide leadership, vision, and support for assigned career and technical academic programs, including Business, CIS, and Culinary
- Work closely with Vice President, academic Deans, and department chairs ro achieve division and unit goals
- Assist students in career and academic planning; resolve student issues when needed
- Supervise dual enrollment program with local high schools; attend monthly superintendents' meeting
- Assist in administering Perkins Career and Technical Education (CTE) grant
- Develop, implement, and evaluate Prior Learning Assessment (PLA)
- Work with faculty to develop experiential learning in academic programs
- Liaise with Continuing Education (CE) to provide college credits for CE courses
- Explore additional articulation/transfer agreements and periodically review existing ones
- Perform other related functions as required by Senior Vice President
- Doctorate in higher education administration or related field required
- Ten years upper-level management experience; five of which in a community college
- Knowledge of accreditation criteria required; experience as a member of a regional accreditation team preferred
- Demonstrated skills in leadership, personnel management, and accreditation
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and computing skills
- Strong knowledge of community college best practices and assessment
