Job Title: Retail Store Shipper/Receiver
Location: Westport, CT

Compensation: $20.25 - $23.25

Reports to: Retail Store General Manager

WHO YOU ARE
The warehouse is the backbone of a store’s business. As the Shipper, you will be responsible for managing product flow throughout the store, communication with management on product levels, distribution of product between stores and all shipping and receiving functions—ensuring that we have the right products in the right places at the right times. In addition to the specific duties listed below, you will perform the duties of a Customer Experience Guide whenever appropriate.


YOU ARE A MOTIVATED, ORGANIZED AND DETAIL-ORIENTED SELF-STARTER.

  • You process all incoming and outgoing shipments in a timely manner.
  • You collaborate with management to determine and maintain the most effective stockroom layout that any staff member can navigate—product is clearly labeled, accessible and neatly organized by style and size.
  • You follow all procedures on Loss Prevention.
  • You are in regular communication with management on warehouse labor allocation and strategy, and proactively assess ongoing stock levels in key styles to prevent out of stocks.
  • You are consistently looking for product flow improvements to maximize efficiency and reduce out of stocks on the floor.
  • You proactively communicate and resolve all shipping discrepancies with the Service Center, Retail Solutions, Outside Vendors and Accounting.
  • You manage all shipping and receiving record-keeping processes for the store and ensure all records are accessible by any staff member should a customer service issue arise.

  • You keep lines of communication open among management and team members, ensuring that expectations are upheld, and objectives are met.

  • You are proactive in assessing additional training opportunities for employees in the warehouse to ensure maximum flexibility.

  • Adept with computer systems and onboarding new systems swiftly, with the ability to teach them to others.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
  • Continually able to lift and move boxes and products within a restricted space.
  • Continually able to reach overhead, bend, squat and kneel.
  • Continually able to walk up and down a staircase carrying boxes, products and other items.
  • Able to regularly perform store maintenance: sweep, vacuum, empty trash, clean.
  • Able to safely lift boxes up to 55 pounds.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders.


SCHEDULE
Our stores are open seven days a week. The number of scheduled hours per week varies. You must be available to work a minimum of one weekend day, one opening shift and one closing shift per week. You must report to work on time or provide notification in advance if absent or late.
