Education:
- College or technical degree required.
- Advanced certification expected in one or more engineering roles: networking, Active Directory, firewalls, Citrix or VMWare virtualization.
Experience: Minimum 4 years; relevant specialties would include two or more of:
- VMWare ESX virtualization
- Citrix/Xenapp desktop publishing and session management
- Linux OS support
- Windows Server OS support
- SQL Server management (MS and/or mySQL)
- Active Directory Users & Computers, and Group Policy Management Console
- Layer 3 network design and vLAN management
- Sonicwall and/or Fortigate firewall policies/VPNs/routing

Certification: Preferred certs include: MCSE, CCNE, CISSP, VCP, AWS, Azure.
Job Description:
Performs advanced management, update and change control functions including
- Manage, merge and improve VMWare ESX environments across two data centers, supporting virtual servers and the Dell hardware stack that supports them.
- Configure and maintain Sonicwall firewalls at multiple locations.
- Support and update virtualized Linux servers and related applications.
- Support and update virtualized Windows servers and related applications.
- Maintain and update Windows virtual desktops via golden images using Citrix Provisioning Services
- Organize and execute server, application and data migration projects with input from stakeholders.
- Interact with team members and clients on technology design and planning, project scope, accepted practices, and issue resolutions.
- Design and integrate new IP networks including failover as new circuits are added
- Segregate traffic by virtual LAN keeping public traffic separate from private vLANs
