Project Accountant:
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures accurate processing and payment of all bills and invoices for grants and projects.
- Accounts for, records, and deposits all revenues for assigned projects.
- Completes deposits in Yardi and Abila.
- Maintains daily cash and check book balances for grants and projects.
- Prepares financial statements, expenditure reports, and support reconciliations.
- Maintains fixed asset records, schedules, and depreciation entries.
- Maintains and prepares grant information to provide accurate billing and/or draw down requests.
- Reconciles all rent reconciliations paid by ACH to monthly bank statements. Accounts for difference and follows-up as necessary with landlords and tenants.
- Prepares or assists in preparation of various financial and analysis reports, lead schedules, and statistical reports for COC grants and projects
- Reconciles assigned bank accounts on a monthly basis, and appropriately records deposits, charges and outstanding checks and deposits.
- Reviews monthly the General Ledger and subsidiary accounts for accuracy and prepare any and all adjusting entries.
- Prepares all required audit support and lead schedules for grants and projects.
- Responsible for monitoring and remaining current with all required trainings and certifications.
Required Qualifications:
BS/BA Accounting, Finance and/or Business Degree. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft office products. Minimum two years accounting experience.
