We are looking for a Bus Driver to join our Azpira Place Lake Zurich Team!
Essential Job Functions
Using the company van/bus, drive residents to scheduled appointments by picking them up at the appropriate time and returning them to the community. Drive vehicle over specified routes or to specified destinations according to time schedules. Park vehicle at appropriate areas to allow residents to board and/or leave vehicle. Assist residents as necessary, being sensitive at all times to the special needs of seniors. Carry and use cell phone to report delays or accidents. Regulate heating, lighting and ventilation systems for passenger comfort. Provide a safe, yet engaging ride by learning about and connecting with each resident. Ensure vehicle gas tank is filled at appropriate intervals. Take the vehicle for scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, tires, washing, repairs, etc. Maintain appearance of vehicle, both internally and externally, by cleaning windows, sweeping and mopping floor, cleaning seats, washing outside regularly to maintain a professional image and provide a welcoming and inviting riding experience for residents. Periodically inspect vehicle for tire pressure, wiper blades, refill windshield washer fluid, etc. 1. Engage residents and connect with them in a genuine, compassionate and memorable way. Assist with set up of meeting areas by placing and removing chairs, tables and other equipment. Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities through attendance and participation in in-service, educational seminars, staff meetings and other learning experiences. Comply with all rules and regulations regarding confidentially and privacy of team member and resident information. Performs other duties as assigned or as required.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES & QUALITIES REQUIRED:

- Knowledge and troubleshooting skills in the areas of electrical maintenance, plumbing, heating & air conditioning, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
- Previous experience in building maintenance.
- Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written direction in the English language at a level adequate to perform the job duties.
- Must maintain and encourage a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation with co-workers, managers and others with whom contact is made.
- Must have appropriate service orientation, demonstrate competency and professionalism.
- Ability to handle several tasks and respond effectively to unexpected changes, requests and stressful situations.
- Ability to multi-task job responsibilities.
- Able to maintain regular attendance.
- Ability to effectively handle stressful situations and work well under pressure.
- Must be capable of performing the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
