Pay Scale: $ 55,000-$60,000 (based on related experience)
NATURE OF WORK:
Under the direction of the Residential Vice President or Designee, the Program Director is responsible for the overall daily operations of the community residence program, to include but not be limited to, assuming primary responsibility for the training, supervision and evaluation of direct care staff, assisting in hiring of program staff, assisting in intake and discharge of program youth, and monitoring the program to ensure compliance with regulations and agency Vision, Mission, Philosophy and Values. The Program Director works collaboratively with the Case Coordinator to ensure the provision of all mental health and non-mental health services that each youth participating in the community residence program will need. The Program Director acts as the primary liaison to families, service providers and other community agencies during evening hours.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
The incumbent of this position will meet the qualifications for a Qualified Mental Health Staff as stated in Part 593 of the OMH regulations. The minimum of a bachelor's degree in human service related filed is required, with a master's degree in human services related field preferred. Licensure is strongly preferred. Experience working with children/adolescents with serious emotional disturbance is required. An individual with supervisory experience is preferred.
Requires a valid drivers’ license that meets insurability guidelines to operate agency owned vehicles.
Must meet the requirements of the School Age Care, Day Care, and/or Mental Health Regulations regarding a State Central Register Clearance regarding history of abuse/maltreatment of children and Criminal History Review / Background Check for criminal convictions through OMH and DOH Regulation.
