Patriot Healthcare is a contract-based organization providing healthcare services for the federal, state, and local levels of government.
Position Details:
Our growing team is actively seeking a 1099 Board Certified Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner to complete face to face evaluations for our local veterans! You can add to your current practice or earn extra income while enjoying stories from our local veterans and doing what YOU love in our mobile clinics!
The scope of this position includes, but not limited to:
- INTENSE charting. Interested applicants must be very comfortable with a significant amount of charting and meet the required deadlines.
- CHOOSE YOUR OWN SCHEDULE. You develop your own schedule as long as you can provide 6 days a month.
- Malpractice Insurance (at a small fee) and a supervising physician.
- Compensation on a per patient basis. Vary between $75- 400. Subject to change depending on complexity of ailment and applicant's license.
- No out-of-pocket expenses.
- Cash-based pay 2x a month, no insurance collections.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Compensation and Pension Examinations on Veterans.
- Complete a thorough review of medical records on a cloud-based EHR.
- Conduct physical assessments based on specific disability claims.
- Review medical documentation and provide an expert medical opinion in regard to a disability.
- Participate in testimonies via phone conference. (as needed)
- Submit information gathered through an online portal for the VA to review as part of a compensation/pension claim.
- All exams will take place at approved facilities with proper equipment and internet access provided.
- If you have your own practice, you can conduct these exams with a flexible schedule that works with your current patient scheduling.
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times.
- Collect, record, and maintain sensitive patient information such as examination results, medical history, and reports.
Qualifications:
- Availability of 6 days a month.
- Must have 2 years experience as a PA-C/NP.
- Active & unrestricted medical licensed health care professional in state of employment.
- Board Certified
- Proficient in charting
- Superb organizational and time management skills.
