Patriot Group International has a full-time, exempt employee opening for a Project Financial Analyst. This position reports to the VP of Business Operations. These positions are located in the PGI Operations office in Herndon, Virginia, Annapolis Junction, MD. and San Antonio, Texas.
Job Description:
Perform a variety of finance support tasks in the finance department including:
Ensure program costs are collected correctly by maintaining active charge numbers, monitoring actual charges, and processing transfers when appropriate
Performs monthly review of projects and performance against budgets/cost proposals with variance explanations.
Monitor funding status continually
Ensure contractual requirements and customer financial deliverables are accurate and on time to include financial Contract Data Requirements (CDRLs)
Review and approve invoices for submission to the customer and monitor billing status and unbilled issues
Review and approve subcontractor & consultant invoices
Carefully monitor and analyze program revenue and profit recognition to minimize risk to the organization
Analyze, understand, and report on assigned unbilled balances
Prepares monthly Estimates to Complete (EACs) on projects assigned
Collaborate with Pricing Department and Program Management teams in the development of price proposals and cost estimates, including documentation of pricing assumptions and basis of estimates
Proactively work with the Program Manager and team to successfully satisfy programmatic and financial organization objectives
Support audits of financial information by internal and external auditors
Provide ad-hoc assistance, analysis, and reporting as requested by management, team members, and customers
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
At least 2 years of Project Control experience supporting projects and programs for a Government Contractor including FFP, T&M, and Cost-Plus Award Fee contract types.
Advanced proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and levels of an organization
Must work well both individually and in a team environment
Excellent analytical, problem solving with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Experience interfacing effectively with program management team and various functional organizations
A U.S. Government Secret security clearance required
Additional Desired Skills:
Prior experience working in, or supporting, dynamic and sensitive programs
Experience with financial accounting and reporting systems desired (CostPoint, Cognos)
Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Physical Requirements: Must be able to work at a desk using computers and other typical office equipment for extended periods of time up to 8 hours per day.
