The Job Cost Accountant is responsible for monitoring and controlling job costs for restoration projects; importing and entering information into billing software; generating timely and accurate invoicing.
Responsibilities:
Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database.
Assist in Invoice and bill gathering /recording.
Perform day-to day accounts payable and entries.
Plan and record variable costs (e.g., purchases of raw material and operations costs).
Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
Create accurate and timely invoices in accounting software.
Daily deposit recording of checks and ACH payments received.
Assisting in month-end and year-end closing.
Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant, or similar role.
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication
Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures.
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Experienced with QuickBooks or other accounting software.
Computer literacy, Proficient in Microsoft Excel (experienced with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Strong time management skills.
Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information.
Knowledge file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
Strong skills in time management and handling multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant area.
Benefits:
$18-$24 per hour – depending on the level of experience
