Primary Function: Provide information and assistance to staff regarding payroll, policies, and procedures. Perform responsible payroll record-keeping duties. Accurately complete process for new hire payroll deductions. Assist Payroll Supervisor in the Import/Distribution of monthly payroll batches from offsite facilities. Process TRS8 and SKL Certification for employees nearing retirement. Maintain record retention process for department. |

Qualifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED |
Three (3) years’ experiences in bookkeeping and payroll operations/and or three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in accounting practices or equivalent |
The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.
Essential Functions:

Assist school payroll representative with entries, guidelines, and deadlines |
|
Assist payroll manager/supervisor with payroll request |
|
Key leave used at Central Office Level and other various departments |
|
Import/Distribute Timecard Online batches from offsite facilities-Proof reports and make corrections as necessary |
|
Interact effectively with staff members, teachers, and administrators, in a professional manner and using good judgement |
|
Key miscellaneous exception time sheets |
|
Receive personnel New Hire file- complete all set-up requirements so employee will receive first payroll check |
|
Assume responsibility of records retention management process for department |
|
Process TRS8 and SKL Certifications for employees nearing retirement |
|
Assist in maintaining efficient office operations by providing receptionist relief whenever needed |
|
Follow work scheduling and attendance requirements in a regular predictable and punctual manner |
|
Maintain records and files |
|
Assist in maintaining Direct Deposit and Tax Form set up |
|
Other duties as assigned by Superintendent or designee |
