Overview Designs and develops interactive, learner-focused training that engages, motivates, and educates learners. Serves as a Senior team member and leads the team in new initiatives that meet company goals and objectives. Responsibilities Uses effective interview and research techniques to conduct in-depth needs analysis to analyze training needs, identify measurable learning objectives, and determine training approach and deliverables. Leverages instructional systems design (ISD) methodologies, adult learning theory, and technology to design engaging and interactive learner-focused training material that engages the modern learner while demonstrating advanced ability to manage and execute multiple complex deliverables. Develop training experiences that optimize learning and retention by utilizing a blended learning and delivery approach (ILT, VILT, etc.). This includes exercises, supporting materials, integration of media elements (audio, video), simulations, gaming, infographics. Negotiates project deliverables and deadlines to ensure a quality product that meets the learner's needs. Appropriately leverages resources to meet the needs of the learning (i.e., graphic designer, creative services, etc.). Participates in and/or leads storyboard/proof of concept sessions to develop a superior learning experience. Mentors new Learning Designers and shares best practices, helps the team conceptualize, design, and organize projects to raise the skill and competency level of the entire department. Serves as a leader on the team by positively influencing peers in time of change, leading the team in new initiatives, and proactively suggesting process improvements. Is a student of their profession - Participates in learning activities/research to stay current with industry trends and Paychex business. Incorporates new trends into our environment. Demonstrates strong project management skills when necessary, coordinating multiple team resources to accomplish goals to lead a concept from inception to execution. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Communication, education, or equivalent - Required 4 years of experience in writing using instructional design principles and developing eLearning materials. Compensation In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $25.61 - $47.57 hourly. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
