Job Description Summary: What you need to know about the role: The Business Risk and Control Lead (“BRCL”) is responsible for managing and executing risk processes that exist in the first line, such as management and resolution of issues and incidents, risk identification, risk assessment, risk and control evaluation, Annual Risk and Compliance Plan (“ARCP”) output, and risk reporting for products, functions, and jurisdictions (as applicable). This role is also responsible for interfacing with the Second Line of Defense to understand and apply risk frameworks and protocols. Your day to day: Responsible for the execution of risk management activities within their Operational Unit: Lead the First line issue and incident owners through the Issue and Incident management frameworks lifecycle. Triaging and conducting root cause analysis of control deficiencies Leading cross functional remediation planning efforts through regular meetings and control design consults Managing issues through timely remediation and validation within defined SLAs Maintenance of Issue Management System of record data for areas of responsibility Responding to Internal and External Audit and Testing Engagements (e.g., SLOD reviews, Internal Audits, Regulatory Examinations) Perform and refresh risk assessment including risk identification, documentation, rating & control evaluation. Support activities related to Annual Risk & Compliance Plans for assigned area of business. Support the maintenance of risk and control inventories including Capabilities, Products, Processes, Legal Entity, Risks, and Controls Identify product changes with associated control impacts and ensure appropriate implementation through the Product Development Lifecycle Review and derive insights from key risk metrics for their assigned area, interpreting the data provided through dashboards and reporting (such as reg exams, complaints, incidents, etc.) from centralized teams. Provide assertions on risk exposure and articulate and present escalated risks to management. Represent TISA in first line risk forums. What do you need to bring: 5 years of relevant experience in payment industry, financial services, management consulting firms and/or project management Proven experience identifying/evaluating/managing risk and collaborating to drive issue resolution in partnership with key stakeholders Understanding of payments products/ experiences Participates with leadership to determine direction and objectives of risk management programs Demonstrated working relationships that enable self-direction in risk management.
